The Whiskey Sessions started when three old (by this point) musicians met to get reacquianted and drink som whiskey. The whole think quickly turned into a recurring even about booze, music, and on-the-spot creativity. We get together, pop the cork, and get cracking on writing a song. The goal is to compose, write lyrics, perform and record an entire song in a single evening, preferably before the neighbors start banging on the wall or the audio interface burns up.

We often mix and master when we've had a chance to sober up, but we are proud to challenge ourselves to achieve all of this in a short period of time. And it's a lot of fun too......

See below for music, lyrics and photos from each time The Whiskey Sessions have met, in reverse chronological order. Click on a title to see more information about that specific song, and please leave a comment. We hope you appreciate our music!

With company from Norrköping, Mem and Stockholm we did a session at NTI-gymnasiet (I have no idea if this was sanctioned or not!). The evening included breastfeeding, diaper changes, vomiting, sleeping, face painting, a finger behind the wallpaper, Östgöta-rap, an abortive Tomas Ledin song, a kebab song, Stellas song, long legs, groin photography, a new relationship and an ex-relationship!

Sabina left her cello at home, but performed vocals at her first Whiskey Session. Henrik shot video of it all, fell asleep and received a painted mustasch. Marie and Peter tried to combine parenting and music production - that sort of worked until Adam and Sabina started singing harmonies about the kebab; at that point Lovi (14 months old) woke up. Great fun at school!

'Vill du smaka mig?'

"It wasn't really our intent to combine some kind of weird kebab-fetisch with stoner rock, hip-hop, and some type of crunchy electro, but sometimes that's what you get. Hot tips for all you musicians; Kaossilator, Bully Kit, and the ubiquitous KJ Sawka!"
